We started on this project in 2020 with one bold goal—to shift perceptions of paint from a basic home necessity to an exciting tool for self-expression, that the audience can pick up and paint their living spaces without needing a painter.

Our task was to develop a complete brand identity and packaging system that would reflect this vision across dozens of product SKUs, from interior emulsions to premium exterior finishes.

We started by reimagining the brand from the ground up. The logo’s rounded curves and custom typography gave Ionix a friendly, approachable feel—perfect for millennials and young homeowners looking to personalize their spaces.

The color palette of deep space blue and vibrant mustard orange struck the perfect balance: trustworthy and stable, yet fresh and energetic. Every detail, from the sleek label shapes to the minimalist product icons, was designed to feel premium but unintimidating—inviting customers to explore creativity without overwhelm.

The real test came in execution. We created a flexible packaging system that maintained consistency across matte and glossy finishes, sample sizes and bulk tins, while allowing each product line to shine. The result? A brand that doesn’t just sell paint—it sells possibility.

Today, Ionix’s products are in the market and customers showcase their DIY projects. For a category often ruled by tradition, we helped build a brand that feels decidedly now.
