Cookie Policy
Last updated 1 August 2026
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. This page lists the ones hok-studio.com actually sets, grouped the same way as the cookie banner: Necessary (always on), Analytics, and Marketing.
Necessary — always on
Required for the site to work at all: submitting a form, remembering your cookie choice, and attributing an enquiry you chose to submit to the channel it came from. These can't be switched off because the site can't function properly without them, and none of them are used to track you across other sites.
hok_consent
Remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask again on every visit.
Duration: 6 months
hok_utm_first / hok_utm_last
First-party only — records which channel first brought you here, and which channel brought your most recent visit, so if you submit an enquiry we know how to credit the source. Never used for cross-site tracking or shared with a third party.
Duration: 1 year / 90 days
Analytics — on only if you accept
Helps us see which pages and case studies get read, so we can improve the site. Loaded through Google Tag Manager and blocked entirely until you accept the Analytics category in the cookie banner.
_ga, _ga_*
Set by Google Analytics (loaded through Google Tag Manager) to distinguish visitors and measure how the site is used — pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth.
Duration: Up to 2 years
Marketing — not currently active
We don't run any advertising cookies today — no Meta Pixel, no ad retargeting. The Marketing category exists in the cookie banner so that if we add one later (kept off until you say otherwise), it's already covered by a consent choice you've made rather than a silent update. This page will list the specific cookies if and when that happens.
Changing your choice
Use “Cookie preferences” in the footer of any page to reopen the banner and change your choice at any time — it takes effect immediately, no reload needed. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser's own settings, though doing so may affect how well parts of the site work.
